Make a Civil Air Patrol wallpaper for your phone, computer, or smartwatch, or a welcome screen for the TV or projector at your next event. Each one carries the CAP logo, and most add your unit’s name.

Use it on your own phone, or give every unit-issued phone the same look. The design stays plain on purpose, so the logo reads well behind notifications.
Put it on the TV by the door or on the projector before the program starts. People glance at it on the way in, so keep it short. The event name and the Wi-Fi are what they look for. Switch to the agenda between sessions, and to the break countdown so everyone knows when to come back.
Use it on your own laptop, or give every unit computer the same look. The left side stays clear for desktop icons, and the logo stays above the taskbar and the Dock.
A tablet turns, so its wallpaper is a square that fills the screen held either way. The logo stays in the middle, where it shows in portrait and in landscape.
A watch face is small, so it shows the CAP symbol alone on a dark background that suits OLED screens. The top stays clear for the time.

A TV shows a still image for as long as you like, so one PNG is all you need.
- USB drive: Copy the PNG to a USB drive and plug it into the TV. Open the photo viewer, start a slideshow, and set it to repeat. Menus vary by TV maker.
- Slides: In PowerPoint, Keynote, or Google Slides, insert the image on a blank slide the same shape as your screen, widescreen or 4:3, so it fills the whole slide. Then set the show to loop until you press Esc.
- Laptop: Connect the laptop to the projector or TV, then select Show Full Screen under the preview. It picks the slide size that matches the screen. Press Esc to close it.
- Vertical lobby display: Turn the screen to portrait in its settings, or in the computer’s display settings, before you show the vertical slide.
- Break countdown: Show it full screen and it counts down live, then switches to your end message at zero. Up or + adds a minute, Down or − takes one away, and Space pauses. A note on the screen lists the keys for the first few seconds.
- Turn off the TV’s sleep timer or screen saver if it has one, so the slide stays up.
- Everything stays 5% in from the edges, so a TV that trims the picture won’t cut anything off.
- iPhone: Open the download, tap Share, then Save Image. In Settings, tap Wallpaper, then Add New Wallpaper. Choose Photos, pick the image, and tap Add.
- Android: Save the image to your phone. Touch and hold an empty spot on the home screen, then tap Wallpaper, or find Wallpaper in Settings. Pick the image and set it for the lock screen. Menus vary by phone maker.
- Don’t pinch or zoom the image when you set it, so the logo stays where it was placed.
- On a unit-issued phone, check with whoever manages your unit’s phones first. Some managed phones set the wallpaper for you.
- Windows: Right-click the desktop and select Personalize, then Background. Choose Picture, select Browse photos, and pick the image. Set the fit to Fill.
- Mac: In Finder, Control-click the image and choose Set Desktop Picture. Or open System Settings, click Wallpaper, and add the image there.
- Pick the size that matches your screen, or the next one up, so the logo stays sharp and where it was placed.
- Two monitors on Windows: Use the image that ends in “span,” and set the fit to Span. The design runs across both screens.
- Two monitors on a Mac: Open System Settings, click Wallpaper, and set the left-monitor image on your left screen and the right-monitor image on your right.
- On a unit or wing computer, check with whoever manages it first. Some managed computers set the background for you.
- iPad: Save the image to Photos. Open Settings, tap Wallpaper, then Add New Wallpaper, and choose Photos. Pick the image and tap Add.
- Android: Save the image, then touch and hold an empty spot on the home screen and tap Wallpaper and style. Choose the image from your photos and set it for the lock screen, the home screen, or both. The steps vary a little by brand.
- Don’t turn on the zoom or motion effect. It enlarges the image and can push the logo off center.
- On a unit tablet, check with whoever manages it first. Some managed tablets set the wallpaper for you.
- Apple Watch: Save the image to Photos on your iPhone. In the Watch app, tap Face Gallery, then Photos. Under Content, choose Photos, pick the image, and tap Add. Set the time position to Top.
- Wear OS: Steps vary by brand. Many watches have a photo face you set up in the watch maker’s app on your phone, such as Galaxy Wearable or the Google Pixel Watch app. Others use a watch face app. Pick the photo face, then choose the image.
- Round watches crop the image to a circle, so the corners won’t show. The logo stays inside the circle.
- Keep the time at the top so it doesn’t cover the logo.
