Lock screen guidance

Use it on your own phone, or give every unit-issued phone the same look. The design stays plain on purpose, so the logo reads well behind notifications.

  1. Type your unit name on the subordinate line.
  2. Pick the colors and where the logo sits.
  3. Add an approved emblem if you want one.
  4. Choose your phone, then download the image. Not sure which phone? Download all sizes.
  5. Set the image as your lock screen. The steps are below.

Your file is named for your unit, this tool, and the size, such as TX-388_lock-screen_1179x2556.png, so it’s easy to find in your downloads.

  • iPhone: Open the download, tap Share, then Save Image. In Settings, tap Wallpaper, then Add New Wallpaper. Choose Photos, pick the image, and tap Add.
  • Android: Save the image to your phone. Touch and hold an empty spot on the home screen, then tap Wallpaper, or find Wallpaper in Settings. Pick the image and set it for the lock screen. Menus vary by phone maker.
  • Don’t pinch or zoom the image when you set it, so the logo stays where it was placed.
  • On a unit-issued phone, check with whoever manages your unit’s phones first. Some managed phones set the wallpaper for you.
Make

A welcome screen is a slide for the TV, projector, or lobby display at a meeting, conference, or open house: a welcome, an agenda, or a break countdown. Lock screens, desktop wallpapers, and welcome screens share the subordinate line, colors, and emblem. A watch face shows the CAP symbol alone.

Details

Enter the subordinate entity or directorate name exactly as it should appear.

Look

A plain background keeps the logo easy to read. CAP Ink is the design system’s navy.

Logo position

Center puts the logo in the middle of the open space below the clock. Lower third puts it closer to the bottom, still above the flashlight and camera buttons.

Phone

Sizes are in pixels, portrait. A close size works too; your phone scales the image to fit.

Emblem

Optional. Approved emblems stay full color on every background.

To have your directorate, program, or campaign added, email a high-quality approved PNG to Maj. Roman Vitanza.

To have your secondary emblem added, email a high-quality approved PNG to Maj. Roman Vitanza.

To have your NCSA, CSA, or NFA emblem added, email a high-quality approved PNG to Maj. Roman Vitanza.

Upload your own secondary graphic

Only use approved emblematics.

Use this for a one-color emblem, such as a line-art version that should be white on a dark background. A full-color emblem turns into a solid shape, so leave it off for those.

Emblem placement

Beside the logo matches the standard lockup. Larger, below the logo puts a bigger emblem under the logo and subordinate line, so it reads from farther away.
