EPS Generator

Build a vector EPS of your subordinate graphic for print vendors, embroidery, signs, and banners. The CAP logo and your subordinate line come out as outlines, so they stay sharp at any size.

Vector file guidance

Vendors ask for EPS files because vector art scales from a lapel pin to a trailer wrap without going blurry. This tool builds the same subordinate graphic as the Subordinate Graphic Generator, as vector art.

  1. Type your unit or program name on the subordinate line.
  2. Choose All Blue or All White to match what the vendor is printing on.
  3. Pick your emblem from one of the approved lists, or upload the largest approved file you have.
  4. Check the preview and the artwork size below it.
  5. Choose EPS, SVG, or PDF, select Download, and send the file to your vendor.

For competition rosettes, choose a center size or the streamer, then the competition and place. Check Make the full set to get 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place at once. Send to Vendor packs the center and its matching streamer with notes for the rosette maker.

For a floor stencil, choose the finished width. Send the EPS or SVG to a sign shop for a vinyl stencil, or download the tiled letter PDF to print and tape together yourself. The preview shows how many pages it takes.

Your file is named for your unit and this tool, such as TX-388_subordinate-graphic_blue.eps, so it’s easy to find in your downloads.

  • Use EPS for printing, embroidery, engraving, signs, and banners. For websites, social media, and documents, use a PNG from the Subordinate Graphic Generator.
  • The CAP logo and subordinate line are vector outlines, so your vendor doesn’t need the font.
  • Emblems go in as images at the resolution of their source file. If your vendor needs a vector emblem, ask the brand team.
  • Anything sold with CAP logos or wordmarks needs a trademark license. Talk to the brand team before you order merchandise for resale.
  • Rosettes and floor stencils leave out emblems. A button center is too small for one, and a stencil can’t reproduce a full-color image.
  • Before you paint a floor stencil, get the facility owner’s OK. Use paint made for floors, and mix in an anti-slip additive, since painted areas get slick when they’re wet.
  • Ask your vendor for a proof, and check it before production.

Options

Select the logo version for the material you’re printing on, and choose a secondary emblem or upload an approved graphic. If you wish to have your logo added, email a high-quality transparent file to Maj. Roman Vitanza.

Use All White for dark shirts, signs, and backgrounds. White art looks blank on a white artboard; that’s expected.

To have your directorate, program, or campaign added, email a high-quality approved PNG to Maj. Roman Vitanza.

To have your secondary emblem added, email a high-quality approved PNG to Maj. Roman Vitanza.

To have your NCSA, CSA, or NFA emblem added, email a high-quality approved PNG to Maj. Roman Vitanza.

Upload your own secondary graphic

Only use approved emblematics. Upload the largest version you have; it prints at that resolution.
