Every bio sheet follows the official Civil Air Patrol biography template, front and back: a navy header with the CAP seal, the word BIOGRAPHY, and the CAP logo, then the name, the photo, and the bio on the front, and your education, assignments, and awards on the back. You supply the words and the photo.
- Check the grade and name. If you’ve used the other tools, they’re already filled in.
- Upload a headshot, then drag it and use the zoom slider to frame the head and shoulders.
- Write or paste the bio, with a blank line between paragraphs.
- Add education, assignments, and awards, one per line, if you want them. Any list you leave empty stays off the page.
- Check the preview, then download the PDF or print it double-sided.
Your file is named for the member and this tool, such as Jane-Smith_bio.pdf, so it’s easy to find in your downloads.
- Write in the third person, and start with the member’s current job.
- Keep it to four or five short paragraphs. The first page holds about 600 words with the photo.
- Use a recent photo in uniform or business attire, against a plain background.
- Pick the grade from the menu. It prints spelled out, such as Major or Lieutenant Colonel, as the template does.
- Start each education and award line with the year, and list assignments oldest first.
- Ask the member to check the bio before you share it.
