Event guidance

Every badge, tent, and card pairs the CAP logo and your unit’s name with each person’s name, title, and unit, or with your menu or seating. Pair them with the Banner and Tablecloth Generator for a complete event setup.

  1. Choose what to make: name badges or badge backs, table tents, banquet and ceremony cards, binder and folder labels, or status board magnets.
  2. Type your unit name on the subordinate line, and add the event name if you want one.
  3. Add people, titles, reserved seating entries, or menu courses by typing them, pasting spreadsheet rows, or loading a CSV file. The CSV template shows the columns.
  4. Check every sheet in the preview, download the PDF, and print one test sheet on plain paper at 100% (actual size).

Your file is named for your unit and this tool, such as TX-388_badges_3x4in_42-names.pdf, so it’s easy to find in your downloads.

  • Print at 100% (actual size). “Fit to page” shrinks the art, and badges won’t line up with the stock.
  • Try one sheet on plain paper first, with light outlines turned on, and hold it against your badge stock up to a light to check the fit.
  • Use the grade abbreviations and duty titles members use in eServices, and check every name’s spelling before you print.
  • Attendee lists hold members’ personal information. Use them only for CAP business, and delete the files when you’re done.
  • Anything sold with CAP logos or wordmarks needs a trademark license. Talk to the brand team before you order merchandise for resale.

What you’re printing

Every option prints on 8½ × 11 in sheets.

Type the number on your package, such as 5395 or 5366, and the layout below switches to match.

Unit and event

The unit goes under the CAP logo on every badge and card. The event line runs along the bottom, or near the top on menus.

Emblem Optional

Add a secondary emblem to the right of the logo, as in the Subordinate Entity Graphic Generator. If you wish to have your emblem added, email a high-quality transparent file to Maj. Roman Vitanza.

Upload your own secondary graphic

Only use approved emblematics.

Names

Each person gets their own badge, tent, or place card. With no names, badges and place cards print with a line to write a name on.

You can paste rows straight from a spreadsheet. Grade, first name, last name, title, and unit columns become one person each.

A CSV file with a header row works best; columns like CAPID or email are skipped. Names stay in this browser tab. They aren’t saved or sent anywhere.
